Nice resort with plenty of activities for the family.

We stayed 4 nights and were happy with facilities and range of food options.

The large pool was great and location right next to the beach meant the kids could change between either through the day.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would recommend for families.

This resort is great for families with kids but rooms are very dated (our fridge, TV remote and other room facilities didn't work). When we arrived there were no pool towels left, no sun lounges available and no snorkling gear even though only 10 people could be seen snorkling. Cowrie restaurant was excellent for dinner and breakfast and the staff attending us were lovely. Breakfast was an amazing spread but you had to wait for staff to bring you coffee and tea and often when you asked they forgot to come back. After dinner everything went very quiet, few people around and we couldn't find anywhere for after dinner drinks they had any vibe to it.
Staff were hit and miss with friendliness. Particularly the older women staff were often not friendly (younger staff and men were better). After our trip here we travelled to Denarau where the staff were soooo much happier and friendlier. Maybe Shangri-La need to treat their staff better so they are happier and more attentive to their guests. Would recommend this resort for parents needing a break from their little ones but not for couples or young people.
