We enjoyed our stay at the resort we spent 7 days/nights. The resort is in a beautiful location roughly an hour from Nandi. We just got in a cab to the resort 100fjd. I would suggest stopping on the way and picking up supplies. E.g Beer, soft drink mixers and snacks. The resort is very expensive for these items. The resort is not 5 stars as claimed I was a bit surprised given it is Shangri-la. It is a 3-3.5 star resort. The ammenities are run down and in need of an upgrade. Our room was dated but was ok for what we paid $$. I would not have been so forgiving if we had paid more. There is only one good restaurant at the resort Golden Cowrie we dined here 3 times for dinner and had buffet breakfast here everyday. It’s not fine dinning as claimed but is still very good. The restaurant is adults only. Our other experiences at the Beach bar and grill & Takali Asian kitchen were very average/poor you can read my reviews. The service in general was pretty poor the staff are lovely people don’t get me wrong they just lack training and guidance( professional management) I get Fiji time but at times it was ridiculous we waited over an hour for a cocktail at the ocean pool bar and it was not busy. I can only imagine what it would be like in peak holiday season as it was very slow when they were not that busy. The resort is in a beautiful location with stunning views and sunsets and nice beaches to swim. As I said we did enjoy our stay and would return but only for the right price $$. I would not have been happy if we had paid the peak season holiday rates as it is not a 5 star resort as claimed.
