“The views alone will make your vacation!”
Reviewed 12 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We just returned from 6 nights at this location. It was perfect. The views alone are worth the price. We found we often didn't leave the apartment until 1pm each day b/c we couldn't get off the deck. It was perfect for a little reading and morning coffee. The bed is comfortable, the air conditioning in the bedroom cool enough to help you sleep at night and the little living room offered more room than we really needed. Bring ear plugs, the roosters will be awake at sunrise. Did I mention the views...they are spectacular!

The location is really sweet, not too touristy yet easy walk to the beach and the little marina area. We didn't love the local restaurants (accept for Las Vistas Cafe) as most things were fried and we felt they were more expensive than they should be. But the kitchen offered everything we needed to make our own meals.

Leslaw and Gama picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and took us to the grocery store so we didn't need a car.

We spent days walking the miles of beach, exploring every area we could get too. Gama and Leslaw were great at describing all the area has to offer.

We took the light house tour in the nature reserve and highly recommend it. We also did the bio-tour and the rain forest tour with Leslaw and were glad we did. If we were only there a couple of days, however, we would have been fine just sticking to the beaches.

Overall this was a fantastic little apartment with amazing hosts.

Fantastic stay with Gama & Leslaw! We had read all the reviews of our hosts, and they matched what we experienced: helpful, engaging, flexible, and resourceful.

Months before our visit, after we booked with Gama & Leslaw, they emailed over tips, suggestions, and logistics as to nip any questions we may have had in the bud. They were also great with communication prior to our departure, and we there waiting for us when we finally arrived. We got the lay of the land, got some extras such as aqua socks to borrow, a box fan, and a mid-size cooler that was key for cold drinks on the beach. Gama & Leslaw were always available when we needed them, but essentially stayed out of our hair the four days of our vacation.

The place is exactly as advertised in the pictures. It was a downstairs apt that had a nice living area (with a small balcony), kitchen in the middle, and back bedroom. The bedroom was great with a very powerful AC unit that kept it as cool as we needed...master bath wasn't huge but the shower was a nice walk-in with recent updates. We spent most of the time in the kitchen, as it had everything we would have needed in our kitchen: sink, oven, and nice fridge/freezer. We ate almost every breakfast in there and a couple dinners...we probably saved $200 by eating in rather than pay for a the crappy resort breakfasts or going out to eat. We would have liked to spend more time in the living room but we really didn't need the room, we basically slept and eat breakfast in our place, but certainly nice area to have.

The area of the apartment is in a working class area of Fajardo, away from the hustle of any commercial areas (Seven Seas, downtown Fajardo), it isn't an upscale neighborhood but overall we felt that our neighbors were good family folks and we never felt in danger or out of place. But just don't expect East Hampton, there are roosters walking around (yes the crow at dawn and it actually was a good wake-up call for us) and even some stray dogs. But location wise, and for us, it was ideal.

One last important point to make, definitely take the BioBay tour with Leslaw. He took us on his three person kayak, and it may have been one of the best parts of the trip. The bay on the night we went, was "magical" in every sense of the word. Leslaw was great about giving us about an hour in the lagoon, showing us the good channels, the iguanas, the birds, the fish...and we went on a Sunday night when there was basically like a handful of others around. We didn't look into other tours but I have to imagine they are 1). more expensive 2). less intimate and 3). way less interactive.

Overall we had the choice to stay at the Waldorf or take a chance on the rental. So glad we went with Gama & Leslaw, it's a steal for the price, we felt like pampered guests, and what they had to offer fit our vacation style perfectly!

“Comfortable, private”
Reviewed 4 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend and were very happy with our choice. The apartment has a full kitchen with basic utensils/appliances, a small living room area, a nice bedroom with attached bathroom, and a balcony porch. Only the bedroom has AC, but with the windows open and the overhead fan going, we found the rest of the apartment stayed at a comfortable temperature. There are bath towels, beach towels, and beach chairs for your use. The apartment has a great view of the water from the balcony, but definitely bring some mosquito repellant.

The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful and respond quickly to e-mails/texts. They offer tours to El Yunque and the biobay, although we didn't partake this time around. They also have plenty of suggestions for other things to do in the area and great places to eat. The apartment is just a few minutes drive to Seven Seas beach.

If we take another trip to Fajardo, I would definitely rent with them again!

“Cozy, great view, neighborhood feel, bio bay is a must.”
Reviewed 22 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

If you are looking for a local neighborhood vibe this is your spot. The private bio bay tour is a MUST! Las Vistas cafe for breakfast a MUST!
The condo was clean, super cold AC in bedroom, great breezes from all the windows. Hammock, and beach chairs were provided. Host was very knowledgeable and replied whenever I had a question no matter if it was important or not. :)
I thought that it would have been closer to the swimming beach, for instance you can walk to the water from the condo but it's a bay and it's slimy and fishy. There are beautiful beaches but they are like a mile or less drive.
Stayed here two nights great location for rainforest and bio bay. We left early hit up the rainforest ( beautiful hiking trails waterfalls etc). Then stopped at the kiosks in luquillo for dinner in the way back, checked out the beaches and bio bay.
