We stayed here for a week with a group of friends and overall it was a good experience.

The hotel is not located in the main town, but it is in a beautiful, tranquil little harbour. There are several small beaches and a pool to relax by.

Our room was bright and clean and we had quite a nice view of the small harbour. The 5 rooms amongst our group were all fairly similar, though some were larger than others, or had slightly better views, but that's normal.

Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, with quite a wide selection of choices.

If you decide to have dinner at the hotel I would suggest going for the set menu (which is actually very good) in the restaurant where breakfast is served, as opposed to the one located near the marina. I believe they are serviced by the same kitchen, but the set menu is much, much better value. You end up spending the same at the restaurant near the marina but get half the amount of food. Totally not worth it.

The service at reception was generally helpful and polite, although at times it was a little hit and miss, depending on who was there.

The most annoying part of our stay was the Wifi. It is a fairly remote location so phone reception is very bad, but I believe that in this day and age it is not too much to ask for decent Wifi at one's accommodation. I also believe it is not the location that is the problem but the setup. The Wifi keeps logging you out and/or dropping out. Constantly. Then suddenly the code you are given stops working and so on... I understand about holidays and unplugging etc. but sometimes people have family overseas to contact so the Wifi is actually quite important.

My husband and I went to this beautiful place in September 2016.The place is so quiet and nice, the hotel has 3 private beaches with the most clear and transparent sea water, just amazing. The restaurant is very nice, with a balcony outside, which makes the atmosphere very romantic. The food is very delicious with a Michelin star presentation. All the staff at the restaurant and the front desk were very kind and helpful.Maddalena Island is amazingly beautiful place with amazing beaches.

we stayed two nights and the hotel and staff were excellent. you have your own little "village" and beach at cala lunga just for the hotel guests. you are directly by a little port and have a magnificent view.

the only thing we didn't like at all was the restaurant...!

The hotel is located in a touristic village at the north of Maddalena. We first took the ferry from Palau to Maddalena (21 euros for 2 adults and a small car Fiat 500 - available every 30 minutes). Then we drove about 15 minutes to reach the hotel. We have been accompanied with our luggage by a small electric vehicle which was very nice because the parking is 150 meters approx from the reception.
Our room is a Superior Room type. It has a very nice terrasse with a sea view. Actually it's a port view. The room is large and has a bathroom, air conditioning, a TV and a small fridge. We didn't need to use the air conditioning because the weather is very nice at La Maddalena.
There are 3 beaches and a swimming pool equipped with beds and umbrellas. You need to walk 10 minutes to reach to beach and the swimming pool. The view is stunning. The sea is very beautiful.
In addition to the nice location and equipments available in the hotel, we felt a very friendly atmosphere. The personnel does a great service.
We haven't tried the restaurants in the hotel. Consequently, we can't give an opinion on it. As we had a car, we've chosen to eat in other restaurants located the center of Maddalena.
Thank you for all the personnel and the great service.

A beautiful hotel in the north of the island, perfect for a relaxing break. We visited with our teenage daughters for 4 nights. We booked standard rooms which were clean with a nice big bathroom. There are plenty of beaches nearby within walking distance, and a coastal bus to take you further afield. The hotel itself has lovely little coves to sunbathe in and a nice pool. We ate in Il Mirto Bar for lunch twice and both meals were very good. The view from both here and the breakfast area is stunning. There is a small cafe bar on the grounds of the hotel for snack food and drinks. The service and staff throughout the hotel was very good. We will definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to family and friends.
