Paradise in the desert! We (a family with three kids) had a fantastic time. All was good: a very nice, authentic hotel; a splendid excursion with camping in the desert; and excellent food. Everybody was very friendly and did their best to make this visit unforgettable for us. And it was!

The owner lives in Belgium and was very willing and quick by helping with extra asked information by email. A real Kasbah. The wood carring the ceiling was of palmwood. A real authentic door. No concrete was used. Good place to stay. There is nothing to do in town (even no little shop) than to relax and watch rural live. You can reach the Kasbah by driving through the dry riverbed. The food was OK, but not the best we had in Marocco. At night we made a campfire outsite the Kasbah, which is run by a guy aged 18-20. Good nice Kasbah and OK for a stopover on the way from Ouarzazate to Merzouga. When it should have a small swimmingpool it would be excellent. If you want a quiet place its very good.

My wife, my four and a half year daughter and myself spent two nights in this hotel and four fantastic days on a desert trip organized by the hotel. The family room was very comfortable, the hot water shower was working perfect and lots of hot water. The heater was working as well - sometimes these AC / Heating units were not heating in other hotels in Morocco we discovered. The staff were charming and welcoming and very child friendly, unlike many places in UK. The food was freshly cooked for us and very, very tasty.
The Camel trekking in the desert around Tamsahalte is a must in my view, not only because is so beautiful but also because there are very few tourists around, especially big tour groups. So one can have the desert to oneself. We went on the three nights option + Berber tent. Our guide Yidir was a local guy who speaks very good English and excellent Spanish, alongside with French of course. He was always very happy to answer our questions. He and his team (two camel drivers and a cook) were working very hard all of the time and were ever so kind and hospitable. Our daughter was very happy to play and talk to everyone all of the time and she was made to feel very special. We had the tour for ourselves only and it is worth every penny.

To conclude at the end - the hotel is excellent as a base before and after the desert, the four day tour is very unique and interesting experience and the team is very good and one you can trust in the desert.
Down sides:
-Camels can be very bumpy, so be prepared to walk at some point, but that is very nice too and no ups and downs very easy.
- Berber tent is very roomy but can be a bit chilly in the night, lots of blankets were provided so be prepared to have a heavy load while sleeping
- No shower for three nights and be prepared to use the bush toilet
All in all - we had wonderful time and can recommend this place to people that a looking for some real desert experience in Morocco for a few days. It was excellent value for money.
