“cozy comfy place in a romantic retreat close to all spots”
Reviewed 11 November 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Great Mtn retreat to stay close to Yosemite and other spots in convenient distance. We stayed 3 nights and went to the park 2 full days. We met Bob as a very funny and easy host with warmth and hospitality. The studio is very new and valuable, it offers lots of comforts (kitchenette, free movies, books). Highlight and fun was fun sitting out at the fire pit next to the pool.

“Clean, Well Kept, and Comfortable Stay”
Reviewed 10 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We stayed two nights at Bob's and found it to be a great place to come home to after long days in both Yosemite and King's Canyon. The room is fairly cozy especially once we inflated the twin air bed for our third adult to sleep on, however since we spent most of our time in the parks it worked out just fine. The property is well maintained, clean and has most everything you would need. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I slept really well which is unusual for me when I'm not home. I did note however that in the amenities it listed a stove which is not accurate. There was a hot plate in one of the cupboards. We were thinking of making breakfast until we saw that was really not an option. We were glad we did not pick up groceries before we got to the property. One other thing to note is that the shower ceiling is sloped and not very high. This was not a problem for me but if you are 6' it may be a little difficult to fit in there. I know if my friends husband had been there he would have had to stoop over to get to the shower head. If you do plan on buying groceries I would not recommend choosing the grocery store right in North Fork. We stopped in for water, etc. and were greeted by mice running up and down the aisles. I would absolutely stay at this location again. I thought it was a great value for the money.

“Perfect Retreat”
Reviewed 10 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We stayed at Bob's for 3 nights in October. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The surroundings are so peaceful and there are amazing views of the mountains and beautiful starry skies at night.
There's a fantastic BBQ area with a fire pit for those cosy romantic evenings outdoors. We were a bit unlucky with the weather which sadly put the dampeners on our plans but there's a good selection of films to watch on Netflix and a lovely fireplace indoors if the weather's against you.
Yosemite park is just over an hours drive away but the drive there is very beautiful and Bob's place is perfect to come home to and relax after a days hiking.
Bob was away during our visit but he insisted that we call him from the house phone when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. He left us a lovely bottle of wine and gave us excellent advise about where to visit during our time there. We wish we could've stayed longer!

Liked best: The outdoor area

“Awesome house.”
Reviewed 28 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Bob's place is nice, my 10 yr old son and 7 yr old daughter really loved our 2 nights stay. The room has wifi and netflix which my kids really love. My kids will choose to stay in the house rather than going to the park. They always asked me "Can we go back to Bob's house?"

“Beautiful house, great location & wonderful host”
Reviewed 17 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We stayed with Bob late August for three nights as a base to explore Yosemite. Bob was a great host with a beautiful property located near Bass Lake with a great view of Yosemite National Park. The property is clean and presented beautifully. Large assortment of breakfast options available and Bob even prepared green smoothies each morning which tasted great! Bob had a great knowledge of the National Park and was a great help in organizing our itineraries each day.

I would highly recommend this B&B if you want a quiet, relaxing getaway as a base to explore Yosemite National Park. This was definitely the highlight of our USA trip and would have no hesitations going back.
