The hotel's common areas (lounges, library, etc.) were beautiful and the food quality in the restaurant was great. I had the best New York steak I've ever eaten, but at $46 it should be good. The junior suite we stayed in ($560/night) was, in my opinion, a poor value . The bed was uncomfortable and most of the furniture in the room was old (not antique old) and well worn or damaged. The room was on par with what you would find in a two or three-star hotel like a Travel Lodge or Comfort Inn.

Yosemite is awe inspiring, the Ahwahnee is icing on the cake. I would recommend a stay at the Ahwahnee, particularly in late fall when the leaves are turning, the weather still great, and the flocks of people somewhat diminished.

Room tip: The cabins are lovely and in one of the best setting possible.

We visited but did not stay due to our late hour and the over $400 price tag for one night. Given our check in and check out time, we would not get our money's worth. Beautiful lobby. Of the three main lodges, the one that looks and feels most like a national park lodge. Nice grass area behind the lodge with tables around for cocktails. Great views from here as well of massive rock formations.

We had a beautiful room with balcony looking at the Half Dome. The hotel interior is magnificent. Service was excellent. We love the National Park lodges in general, and this is one of the best!. The indoor part of the bar/lounge could be improved upon.

Room tip: Get one with a balcony & view.

We came here for our honeymoon in early October. From the second we entered the hotel we were completely entranced with the beauty of the Ahwahnee. Everyone there made us feel welcome and made this one of the most enjoying trips we've been on!
