“great location condo old needs moderization”
Reviewed 9 August 2018 for a stay in August 2018

Condo is clean and p[enty of space for 2 people. Condo is like living in the 70-s. Needs a make over. Bed is uncomfortable and springs are starting to come thru. Stove and counter top curtains carpet and bedding need to be brought up to date with new titles . shower is old/ no hand held shower.
Place is clean and toilet seat doesnt stay up for a guy who has to hold the lid......

would recommend to friend after placeis updated

“Perfect for two”
Reviewed 5 May 2018 for a stay in April 2018

What you see in the picture is just what you get, the view was lovely. You could sit out on the balcony and watch the world go by, something different to watch every day. Other buildings near, as you see in the picture, but not intrusive. The apartment was very spacious for the 2 of us with a cupboard on your right as you enter which housed a vacuum cleaner, etc. with space for hanging clothes, there was no safe but knew this before going. The Bathroom was after this, nice size with a good size shower and was stocked with towels, including beach/pool towels, if you needed. The Kitchen was opposite and had an oven, micro, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, etc. with a counter and stools, open plan with the Lounge area with a nice big bed over on your right, after the Bathroom, leading you to a wall of glass which made the room lovely and light, with sliding doors onto the balcony which had a table with 2 chairs, 2 further chairs and a big box which I think had stuff for going to the beach, there may have been a couple of loungers beside it as well. There were nice touches of shower gel and soap in the Bathroom, while the Kitchen had washing up liquid, etc. for the dishes, kitchen roll and was well stocked with items you might need including a drawer with tin foil, etc. There was a trash room just to the left after the lifts along from the apartment. This apartment had air con just above the bed which was nice and quiet. The rental company was easy to deal with and very helpful, if you arrive before check-in time you can leave your bags with the hotel porter for a dollar a bag, the hotel was quiet and had a variety of shops, etc., 2 pool areas (1 ideal for the little ones) and also had a separate lift for pool use. It is a good idea to have apartments in with hotel rooms and worked very well. We had a lovely stay here, it is in a nice area at the marina, with a shopping centre just a 5 minute walk away in 1 direction and Wakiki beach about the same in the other.

“Good Condo in a fantastic location.”
Reviewed 2 April 2018 for a stay in March 2018

Great location, great views....lagoon, beach and marina at your doorstep. Easy walk to Waikiki central shopping and restaurants. The Condo was clean and tidy with good kitchen facilities although it does show its age alittle.
I would also suggest a better quality mattress for the king bed as well as some updated linen. The mattress was not comfortable, probably due to its age and the linen felt like old linen. Otherwise I would have given the Condo an 'excellent' rating.
Booking was easy with good communication from the Managing Agent.

“Most Amazing family holiday EVER!!!”

Myself and my husband took our two kids (3y and 5y) to Hawaii for a family holiday. It was our first trip to Hawaii and it most definitely won't be our last.
The location of this condo was so perfect. We walked to Ala Moana daily, and also walked into the heart of waikiki. On the days it was too hot we easily caught one of the city busses for $2.50 per adult that stop right outside the hotel.
The views from the room were incredible and the Friday night fireworks over the lagoon were also amazing!
We hired a car and parked across at the marina which was really affordable.
From start to finish Gavin was so helpful and we couldn't thank him enough for allowing us to experience Hawaii from such a great location!
Those considering to book, look no further :D You won't regret staying in this apartment!

“A very pleasant visit to paradise.”
Reviewed 13 February 2017 for a stay in January 2017

The location is great. One can't get any better for a reasonable cost on Waikiki. However, my wife did experience some type of insect bites behind her knees. We never did determine what type of bug it was or exactly where she was bitten. The air conditioner worked to perfection, which can be a problem in some units at the Ilikai. The kitchen remodel was done well and the appliances worked satisfactorily even though they were old. It would be nice to see a glass top range and a new refrigerator but that is a minor issue. The only significant issue I had was a slow drain in the bathroom sink. Shower and kitchen drains seemed to work perfectly though. In the past there were Sunday church services in an area on the lobby floor but they have been discontinued or moved and no one knew of a new location, which was a disappointiment.
