When you have a central location, Waikiki beach as your next door neighbor, Friday night fireworks (yes, please) and are within walking distance to restaurants, stores and a myriad of other items/locales, you have a recipe for a great stay. The condo was wonderful and the kitchen was great. Having breakfast most every morning on the lanai was a treat as well as having Cinnamon's restaurant downstairs (try the Guava Chiffon pancakes). As I did have a few business obligations, the wifi connection was awesome to have and allowed me to connect quickly and easily with my office and clients. I had given Dainora an incorrect e-mail address for the information needed. She got back to me quickly and helped us have a great time. My wife Kelly and I definitely recommend and will visit again. Mahalo!
Beautiful view from the balcony. It is just as pictured. The Hilton had fireworks Friday, Saturday and Sunday when we were there (Mardi Gras?) The fireworks reflected off of the the Lagoon shown in the balcony picture. Worth seeing if you are there on Friday.
We enjoyed the pool during our visit.
The unit was very clean. The kitchen is small but it had everything someone would need to cook, including a slow cooker, roasting pan and dishwasher.
We didn't like the room divider so we used the unit as an extra large studio.
The bus stops outside of the building. There are many places to eat within walking distance. We did enjoy breakfast at Cinnamons downstairs.
The Ilikia is an older building. This unit has been maintained and is a very good value for the money. I would stay here again and recommend to a friend.
The owner was quick to respond to our questions and very pleasant to work with.
This location was great and an awesome view! Found out a lot of the scenes from Hawaii 50 were filmed at the Ilikai and surrounding beach! There was even a shrimp truck on the beach! We didn't try the pool out and the hot tub was closed but the condo was great. A little smaller than I thought it would be and had only a shower (I like to soak in the evening after ALL the walking we did) but still very nice and clean (that is a BIG deal to me)! The bed was comfortable and my son said the couch was too. All in all we enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay in this condo. It was very comfortable and inviting. The bed was super comfortable and even better than the one we have at home. There was a full kitchen with dishes, microwave, fridge, and stove. I really loved the view and the location was so convenient. Friday night Fireworks at the Hilton were on perfect display from our room. Dionara has beach towels, an umbrella, and chairs to bring down to the beach. She even has a blu-Ray player with DVD's on hand. We just could not figure out how to use it. There was a decent laundry room at the end of the hall making it very convenient to do laundry. One load will cost you $5.00 in quarters though. Bring your own soap too. Since you are renting a condo, you are responsible for taking out the trash, bringing bath soap, and toilet paper. There is a cute little shop in the hotel but a 4 pack of toilet paper was almost $5.00. I liked that it was a little further away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. The hotel itself is beautiful. The restaurant Cinnamon's was also very good. The coffee shop was very convenient. The little market inside the hotel was a perfect spot at the end of the day to purchase pricey snacks. If I ever come back to Waikiki, I will definitely stay here again. The entire transaction was super easy and went very smoothly.
My husband and I celebrated our 30 anniversary in this beautiful location. The condo was absolutely perfect. Everything we could ask for!! The view was spectacular and locations could not be beat. The condo had everything you could think of, even the the bedsheets smelled heavenly
The unit was clean and well maintained. Both Dainora and her assistant Agnes provided great customer service. Booking was simple and Dainora was always quick to reply. Once we got to Hawaii, Agnes met us at the unit to let us in. Agnes was very easily reachable by text and replied quickly to any questions we had.
We rented a car during our stay and parked it at the Ilikai Marina just across the street. Special rate of $20/day with in and out privileges. Can't get a better rate anywhere else. We paid it all up front so we had a card to get in and out. Well worth it if you are thinking of renting a car although it is not necessary since the bus stops right in front of the hotel. The Mall and many stores and restaurant are in walking distance.
We grocery shopped at Safeway since we had a car but the ABC store across the street has everything you need.
Walmart is not too far and is opened 24 hours.
We would absolutely recommend this property to our friends and relatives.
Dainora, Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful condo and make memories that will last a lifetime.
We hope to be back someday!
