Came here and had some fun the mall is not bad and has a good 99's Restaurant. They are opening a new arcade or gaming place so the mall has plenty of options for indoor gaming. The stores seem to have good prices maybe because of cheap rent.

Like all the other malls, this one is almost dead. The anchor store is a Sears. I really shouldn't have to say anything else. Internet shopping is killing the malls the same way malls killed downtown shopping. It's kind of sad. I lived a mile from this mall when it opened. Sad to see things die off like this, but oh well.

Clean and safe. The mall hasn't been updated in quite sometime but is a good place if you are looking for some shopping. There is NO GANGS in the mall or around the mall, people making such comments are basing their opinions on demographics of the area which in Springfield's case is over 51% Caucasian. There is security like every mall and the very good thing about the mall is that is in Boston rd which has many eating options.

Most people just go here for the cinemas because this is simply a dead mall. Two of the three anchor stores are gone (Macy's and Penney's closed) and the Sears hasn't been remodeled since it was built in the 1960's. Half the stores within are closed. If it wasn't for the cinemas it would be shut down completely. Now you may think that if you are just going to the cinemas you would be safe because you can park outside the cinema entrance and don't have to enter the mall. BE VERY CAREFUL. The Springfield cops have made the youth gangs aware that they will not tolerate any monkey business inside the mall, but that leaves the parking lot wide open. There is high density housing on the cinema side of the mall and there are always gangs of young men (and a few girls) roaming around in that neighborhood at all hours. I have seen these people trying to break into cars. Park under the lights and be very aware of who is around you.

Rather stark with only a few stores & anchor stores basically gone but the modification of design inside has tried its best to not let it feel like a wasteland while inside - they have nicely blocked off a large wing toward the east. The Cinemas remain & I am happy to see this once bustling, vibrant Mall has not totally closed its doors as so many others have - yet, to only build new ones. Is this really progress?
