We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in beautiful Santa Fe! This casita was absolutely perfect and affordable. Wonderful neighborhood, quiet and peaceful. Lots of hummingbirds right outside the window. All the comforts of home! Nancy and Joe are very nice and quiet - you never know when they’re home (next door) so it truly is private. We would highly recommend this casita and hope to go back sometime. It’s also very close to downtown and not far from many awesome National parks. TIP: use your navigation. It’s super easy to get lost in NM!
This charming casita sits in the beautifully tended grounds of hosts Joe and Nancy’s house in a quiet residential neighbourhood within walking distance of Canyon Road’s restaurants and galleries. They are warm, friendly hosts who have thoughtfully furnished the lovely casita with everything you might need or desire on your travels, in true Santa Fe style - the kitchen is compact but fully equipped and functional. The sitting room area has an beautiful kiva fireplace. The bedroom is snug, cosy and comfortable with excellent bed linen and the bathroom works well. There’s a table for two outside in the pretty garden. Walking around the local streets and laneways is a treat, so many wonderful adobe houses. Best tip: if you don’t have a car, use Black car service to get to and from Santa Fe airport - very reliable; and Uber arou d town for shorter trips. There’s so much to do and see.
We loved our stay here last summer, so we stayed again, and just as enjoyable. A very nice location, in the hills above Canyon Road. An easy walk down to Canyon Road, and a longer but still easy walk to the Plaza area. Comfortable and spacious accomodations.
My second time staying here and I enjoyed it thoroughly. This time I was there for a week for work and didn't want to stay in a generic motel. Although it was very hot, fans worked great (very rentals have AC). Lots of privacy even though a guest house and other homes are close by. Well kept up, good instructions, and in mid to late summer lots of flowers in the garden. Not exactly walking distance for restaurants other than Canyon Road but the neighborhood is beautiful.
The location, the quality linens, the nice fixtures, and quiet neighbors are the best attributes of this guest house. The owners were handsoff so we just got to enjoy the house with no interruption. We took our bikes and left from the house to ride the Santa Fe rail trail. We were just an easy walk or 5 minute drive to the Capitol building and plaza. I would have given it 5 stars if the wifi was good. There is very poor wifi so we used phones to catch up on email etc. If you don't care about wifi then this place is for you! We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to our friends.
