Yes, the coffee at Bolt is good. Yes, the baristas know there stuff. And if you're looking for the full bespoke coffeehouse experience, Bolt is for you.

But, if you're pre-caffeine and just looking for a shot of espresso or a cup of drip and something not-overly-sugary to much on, you're pretty much out of the luck.

The lines were long. The choices way too many. The baked goods all were so sugary that a single serving would induce diabetes in most people.

There are plenty of "just give me some good coffee and maybe a muffin or croissant" places around Providence. Unless you're looking for the "show", there's no reason to go to Bolt.

My wife and I had cappuccinos at this coffee shop twice while on our vacation to Providence. It's in a hotel, and Google Maps ran us around the hotel a few times the first time we visited. There is a very nice young female barrista that served us. There is limited seating. We also had coffee at Bolt in the museum. Both places have good coffee.

A small but cozy cafe located inside The Dean hotel. Not only their coffee is good (try the cafe miel!) but also their tea drinks like the Komorebi (matcha and grapefruit soda). It’s also perfect that they sell knead doughnuts aka the best donuts I’ve ever had!! Seating area is cute and cozy.

I have to admit, $10 for two lattes is excessive even for a New Yorker. But I can't deny that the taste is worth it and the baked goods are superb. The service takes a while but the staff are good conversationalists, which helps pass the time.

The coffee was excellent; the staff were well versed in their craft, but most importantly, they engaged in great conversation and had a genuine interest in getting to know who they were serving! Will return!
