This is an older hotel, but our room was on the highest floor (19th) in the newer Taga Tower building. It was a great room - vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, large space with a desk area and table and chairs. Bathroom had separate shower and tub, with the toilet in a separate little room.
Overall, the room and resort were clean and staff friendly. The coffee shop had great, reasonable lunches, but the hours it was open could have been longer. The pools were nice and pretty well maintained, but there were a couple of times when no pool towels were available. There was a Polynesian Dance show at the resort which was enjoyable (no charge for guests).
We were literally the only Caucasian people at this resort the entire week. Saipan in general seems to cater to the Chinese, Korean, and Japanese visitors.

Stayed 3-nights at the Grandvrio Resort as part of a short budget-priced package tour from Korea. My initial misapprehensions that the hotel looked, "... a little tired and run-down", were totally overcome by the many plus points that the hotel has to offer:
- ideally located with easy access to T-Galleria (opposite), a large supermarket next door and other shops/restaurants/bars in Garapan "downtown" nearby,
- you can step out of the lift, walk across the garden/pool area and straight onto the adjacent beach,
- the hotel faces due west; great views from the room and ideal for photographing the idyllic sunsets from the beach,
- buffet breakfast and use of the large swimming pool were all perfectly acceptable,
- I found all the staff that I came into contact with (whether reception, at breakfast, poolside or housekeeping) to be helpful and super-friendly.

After checking-in to the hotel around 05:30 and resting for a few hours we noticed a large pool of water just inside the entrance door on leaving for a last-minute breakfast. On returning from breakfast the room had been serviced and the pool of water mopped-up. The problem must have been reported by housekeeping because later in the day I was contacted by reception regarding a room change. Although the leaking pipe in the service duct adjacent to the room's bathroom might be a symptomatic of the aging nature of the hotel, nevertheless I was impressed by the staff's prompt reaction to the problem (before I had raised it with them) and their assistance in moving to another room nearby.

I f you are remotely uncomfortable with staying in a hotel whether the other guests are predominately similar package tourists from North East Asia (China/Korea) then the Grandvrio is not the place for you. All-in-all, I was perfectly happy with my stay and felt that the Grandvrio offered good value-for-money.

Location: the only good thing

Facility: old, poorly maintained. Wooden floor made noise when you walked over. No hot water, barely warm water, unless the sun heated it at daytime

Cleanliness: found blood stain on toilet seat and a dried hand wipe on the bathroom curtain bar when checked in. Your rating?

Service: please have no expectations. Waited two hours for towels to relax at beach, but was no refill still. We just simply left the hotel for other activities

Staff: worst you can expect in a hotel. Front desk staff (I will never forget Pem) were rude and unhelpful whenever you approached. Housekeeper refused to clean my room. She came at 2:30pm, I then asked her to come back in 15 minutes, she said, No, I am running out of time.

Don’t let this place ruin your holiday. Book another one!

This hotel is located right opposite to DFS, which is a good location for those who like shopping. Right next to the hotel is a beach, so you just need to keep your key in the hotel and then jump to the sea. However, hotel staff is a little bit rude and unfriendly. Rooms are old, and the water supply is not strong enough. The best thing I've discovered in this hotel is, the dinner buffet with good food and low price. Overall is good.

Went to relax from work for a couple of days. I was a little let down. Hotel completely geared for the Asian lifestyles. Small beds. Thin foam pad on hard box spring. Asked for a queen got twin beds. Changed rooms, got two larger twin beds. Older hotel. Paint peeling, mold and water stain. Clean as possible, staff very helpful. Good points: great for Asian family vacations, lots of beach and pool activities. Cold AC in my room, Japanese style toilets, fast Wi-Fi. Bad points: Owners need to throw a lot of $$ at the property for upgrades and general maintenance. Won’t be coming back to this one.
