Our stay at Te Waonui was absolutely magical! Although it was only one night, the service was the best I've ever had and every staff member we encountered was very accommodating. Definitely a place I would go back to when I travel the South again!

Nice place to stay. Service in the bar was brilliant we borrowed a scrabble game while having a cheese board and wine. Dinner followed with dessert and another bottle of wine. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

From the minute we arrived at this hotel, I knew I wanted to stay longer.
Te Waonui Forest Retreat is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in.
The setting is perfect, our room is quiet and looks out on beautiful NZ native forest.
The room is beautifully furnished with a very comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom with underfloor heating.
We enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant and also explored the local cafes and bars, only a few minutes walk away.
The staff are all friendly and helpful.
I hope to return one day for a much longer stay.
