Good service, friendly staff. The menu and wine list could use a facelift, and utilise more of the amazing local produce, but you will leave well fed.

Well you pay for it and you get it. Super friendly staff and exceptional food. Went for dinner two nights in a row. The French onion soup is amazing. Also had the lamb and duck. Presentation outstanding. Can’t fault anything.

My partner and I visited for the first time, hoping it would be a luxurious experience for the price, however the dishes were of mixed quality. Some amazing, Some very average.
As for the general staff, they were pleasant, despite some subtle demeaning comments against us not wanting any alcoholic beverages.

However, to end the night when paying, we were politely asked by the Maitre d' how the food was, and so we said it was a mixed bag, with one dish being a tad strange. This was NOT taken well, and the whole tone shifted, with the Maitre d' not even saying thank you or goodbye. Don't ask us how it was if you can't take an honest answer...

We won't be coming back again.

It’s not 1912 anymore guys, stop turning away people for wearing shorts. Get with the times, is it really worth fighting about and losing business over? No, time to realise the world is a different place now. Such a beautiful dining hall and location and good food, just a shame the hotel management is a real shambles. I always face frustrating issues every time I stay. Good communication goes a long way!

I reviewed hotel as very good but the restaurant has to have an excellent. The young staff that run the restaurant were so helpful and very attentive. Wine choice and menu were both excellent. We all made different choices and everyone agreed that their meal was delicious. It was our last meal together after a very busy road trip. Highly recommend for a touch of luxury.
