Pros - Location - outside of CBD, cafe coffee.
Cons - Unhelpful "don't care" attitude to guest enquiries. Reception staff constantly on mobile phone.
Cigarette smoke smell throughout room, no iron, no coffee machine. Room left uncleaned for three days. Advertised free airport shuttle, but nothing offered/available.

Really disappointed with the room. We stayed here pre-covid and it was certainly much better then. We came into our room to find a trundler bed made up in the living room, which we didn't ask for. The nets on the windows were shredded in places and the drapes were hanging off the runners in places (these are both things that can be easily fixed), was not a good first impression. There were only 2 small towels provided in the bathroom and no hand towels. The Breakfast was included, however there was no coffee or tea provided (had to pay extra). First time I've struck that in NZ.
I think this hotel needs its rating reviewed.

Woke up freezing cold as the “duvet” consisted of a thin padded blanket and a sheet. No additional blankets were provided. Spoke to one of my colleagues also staying at the hotel and she too was freezing all night due to the lack of sufficient bed covers. The towels were not big enough to be considered bath towels and no hand towel was provided so ended up using a flannel to dry my hands. The bed was very soft so probably not ideal for people with back issues.

Otherwise, the hotel room was clean and tidy, and close to amenities.
