During the 40 days we've been in New Zealand we've stayed in over 20 places, almost all have been great but our three nights at Hahei B&B have been exceptional. From the moment you arrive to the moment you depart Sue and Phil go to extraordinary lengths to make your stay as comfortable and stress free as possible. The room was tastefully furnished and well equipped, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless with high end appliances and the breakfasts were wonderful. Their advice about where to eat, where to visit and when was invaluable and they were as interested in what you'd done each day as they were in giving you advice. The provision of beach/pool towels was welcome (as were the spades for digging your pool at Hot Water Beach!) and the pool was a tranquil retreat at the end of a busy day.

In summary, Hahei B&B is run by two people who obviously enjoy running a B&B and want their guests to have the best possible experience of their corner of North Island and I can’t recommend it too highly.

A stunning location with beautiful gardens. Sue & Phil were excellent hosts, providing help with bookings, advice about local attractions, an extremely comfortable bed and accommodation, and a delicious breakfast. They were both very interesting and interested in their conversations with us and other guests. We couldn't have wished for a better start to our New Zealand adventure.

We stayed in the guesthouse in the garden with a full kitchen and it was very clean and beautiful. The hosts are lovely and the breakfast is very rich and tasty, great coffee, fun stories (thanks again for the Kiwi Dip Tip :-)). Overall a great location – you can walk to the ocean and the Pourhouse.
