We had a wonderful couple of days at Hahei B&B. Not even the weather could spoil it for us. Phil and Sue are fantastic hosts. So welcoming and helpful. Full of knowledge about the area and happy to share. We stayed in the Hibiscus room which overlooked the garden. So tranquil. Breakfasts were absolutely delicious with an abundance of food 😋 Phil kept us updated on the road situation as there was still quite a few landslips due to the rain
We would love to return someday and would highly recommend a stay there

A big shout out also to the guys who work so hard to keep the roads open. They're absolutely amazing. It's thanks to them that we were able to access this beautiful part of North Island
Date of stay: March 2023
Room Tip: The NZTA is really helpful for journey planning just now. Updated information on any road closures

Thank you Jane for providing your feedback, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us despite the weather. Don't know if I should tell you but the sun is shining again! We agree we owe a big thank you to the roading crews who get our roads repaired and open again in short time.
Kind regards
Phil & Sue

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely B&B in Hahei. Phil and Sue were wonderful hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. Their recommendations were top notch. Phil drove us to the beginning of the walk to .cathedral Cove and the following day made spades available to us for a trip to Hot Wqter Beach, along with beach towels. The breakfasts were excellent and just what you wanted to start the day. Honestly, can’t say enough good things. Phil also gave us great advice on getting to Hahei , particularly as a lot of raids were washed out.

Although the weather was less than perfect, our hosts and accommodations at Hahei B & B were! We couldn’t have stayed in a better place. Owners Phil and Sue made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We had a beautiful room and enjoyed the garden and pool views. The breakfasts were terrific and the conversation even better!

Room tip: We stayed in the Hibiscus room, which was spacious, light filled and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the sitting area in the room, too.

A most lovely B&B with wonderful hosts Chris & Phil. Wonderful spacious room (Hibiscus) overlooking their delightful garden and pool. Delicious breakfast - luscious freshly sliced fruits, special yoghurty dish and full English if you had room. Everything about this place oozed quality. The only disappointment was that we only had 2 nights there - should have made it at least a week!

Room tip: Be sure to get booked into the nearby Church Bistro for dinner. Failing that the Pour Bar nearer the beach is also highly recommended.

Phil & Sue just get it!
I’ve travelled the world for many years visiting over 75 countries and staying in more establishments than you can imagine, but this is one of my absolute favourites from around the globe.
From the initial booking interaction with Phil, the whole experience was sublime (Book direct).
The whole facility has a calming effect the minute you walk through the door. It’s super clean, modern and welcoming.
We only stayed one night, but will definitely go back as we didn’t get chance to use the beautiful pool area and we slept so well as it’s super quiet and comfortable.
The breakfast was also incredible and the hosts were what you’d want them to be, friendly, warm and considerate.
Thank you for having us. We wish you a busy summer season, after the last couple of COVID impacted years, but no doubt you’ll be brimming with enquiry as you deserve to be!

Hahei bed and breakfast offers outstanding hosted accommodation. The rooms are very well appointed and comfortable and the hosts, Phil and Sue are so obliging and helpful. They make the most yummy breakfasts.
Whilst there main market is overseas tourists, more NZers should utilise this gorgeous spot
