My party of three stayed at Yellow House Lodge, which offers only breakfast. I ate in Mindo three times (all dinners), and two of those were at Omarcito. The vibe is informal. The waitress was helpful but a bit reserved, and our inability to speak Spanish didn't help. You can get a luncheon or dinner special for about $3 or $4, but for another $2 or so the portions (especially of meat) are more satisfying. My two friends sampled a quite spicy hot sauce from an unlabeled jar and they speculate that it may have contributed to subsequent bouts of intestinal discomfort, but that is by no means certain. Just be aware!
