We rented Castaway Cove, Unit C201 at the Wailea Beach Villas on Maui in July 2014. This unit is managed by Tropical Villas Vacations. Our first visit to Maui and "wow" what a locale. Wailea is perhaps one of the nicer beaches on the south side of this island. I hope we can return one day. Wailea and the surrounding area seems very "upscale". The Grand Wailea and Marriott are adjacent properties; the famous Four Seasons is a short walk down the beach. The entire experience was fantastic in every respect. This three bedroom, three and a half bath unit is wonderfully modern, clean and thoughtful touches have been placed throughout by the owner. The interior is even more beautiful that the pictures online. The unit is on the second floor of a three-story building with a limited view to the water. The adult pool is beachside and the walk to this pool and the beach is a short one (family pool is a hike uphill). The complex is gated with lots of security (key required to activate elevator) and has great service - free towels at the pool and for the beach, etc. There is a very upscale outdoor shopping center adjacent to the property and you can easily walk there (but it's uphill). Tropical Villas Vacations is on their game and very professional to deal with. They provide tons of information, communicate very well via email and phone (allowing for time difference!) and their "concierge" meets you when you arrive, takes you through the overall complex and shows you how to operate everything in the unit. The concierge is also available by phone and can advise you on local restaurants, amusements, etc. Their materials also covers all this in detail (provided in advance) and they provide a number of brochures on local attractions in a package when you check in. You receive full-unit maid service once during the week. Otherwise, it's sort of like living at home - full kitchen, washer and dryer, etc. There is also a very modern gas grill on the main lanai (there are several lanais!) which we used to grill outside one evening for dinner. The rental at the Wailea Beach Villas was not inexpensive but this is a luxury development. We had a great time and it was worth every penny. I have no hesitation in recommending it.
