From the booking through to return of the security deposit from the owner was very smooth. The owner will even arrange transfers to and from the airport for a reasonable price which is in line with the prices other owners in the area charge and far cheaper than taxis. At the booking stage you will receive a very comprehensive guide to the villa, complex and surrounding area with lists of all contact numbers you will need e.g maintenance, emergency, medical etc. This is carried through to the villa where you will find a handbook containing everything you need to make your holiday hassle free. We travelled in two parties with different arrival times which was no problem for the owner to accommodate. The handover of keys was seemless with the driver of the first party of us to arrive showing us to the villa. The villa was superb, clean, very large and loads of space for 6 people. Well equipped - cd/radio, dvd/tv (no tv stations), gas cooker with oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine basically everything you could need. Air conditioning throughout, apart from the basement, however it was cool enough. The gated complex is well kept with a mixture of villas and apartments and the gardens were tended to every day. At night there is a security guard on hand. Villa Pyronia's steps lead straight down to the pool which is the smaller of the two on the complex. We had no trouble getting a sunbed. Sunbed mattresses are provided by the owner. The pool area was cleaned every evening and the pool cleaned every morning - the water was always clean. The owner provides inflatables for the pool which will keep the kids (and adults!) amused. The location was ideal for access to the village, about a 5 min walk downhill, the walk back up requires a little stamina! As the villa is situated above the village, it is quiet and there are some lovely views of surrounding mountains from the balcony. The village has something for everyone - quiet bars, lots of restaurants, lively bars which turn into nightclubs to dance away into the early hours. Lots of shops that sell some very good fakes - everything from sunglasses, handbags, clothes and shoes. There is a market at the top end of the village every monday. A free shuttle to the nearest beach at Olu Deniz, about 10 mins away, operates from outside the gate of the complex at 10 am every morning and returns around 5. If you miss this there is a local bus service (Dolmus) which runs from various stops in the town very regularly from early in the morning to around midnight for a cost of 2 Lira (around 80p when we were there). You can also catch this bus straight through to Fethiye. There is plenty to do during the day and many places will arrange excursions and trips, Hamish McTurk on the main street will always do you a good deal. The jeep safari is very popular, especially, if you have kids and like getting wet. It is a long day, but well worth it! All in all this is a beautiful, well equipped villa in an ideal situation with something for everyone. To top it off the owner is great to deal with. Highly recommended.
