One of the most amazing medieval towns I've seen.
I believe it's more beautiful and far more relaxing than Toledo, for example.

Puebla de Sanabria is a beautiful walled town that you can enjoy walking and getting lost in its streets. You are going to be impressed by the great views of the region from its position. It is such of fantastic location, so peaceful and full of history.

Very good place to visit and taste some tapas. Highly recommended during the annual party "Fiestas Victorias" during September. There is a lake nearby ("Lago the Sanabria") where you can go to spend a day during summer to get some tan and go for a dive.

It is a great place that although small has mucho to see, great views, castle, churches and the main street. The only thing i would improve is that cars could park in plaza mayor and it ruins the great preservation this village has.

Up on high ridge is the historic center. The castle protected its people in a geographically secure site. No one could sneak up on this castle with its majestic views. The homes from the 1500s were mostly well cared for with bright geraniums hanging from the front.
