Located 40km from Cagliari airport in Southern Sardinia, this remote hotel is just a few km from Pula and Nora. Don't be put off by the unpaved road leading to the hotel, as once you enter you will be surprised at the tranquility and peacefulness of the hotel which has lovely palm trees and little trails throughout the property. This family owned hotel was built to reflect the lifestyle of Sardinians and you find the Sardinian hospitality in the hotel staff who are wonderful. We never felt there were many people staying there as the hotel is spread out.

The hotel has two seawater pools with comfy loungers. One of the seawater pools is an infinity edged pool located right by the sea so has wonderful views of the sea and is very tranquil. You can walk down to the tiny beach there which has crystal clear water. If you didn't bring towels the hotel can provide them for a fee of four euros. There is also a tennis court which is in playable shape.

The rooms are laid out in 'blocks' around the property and we had a lovely quite room on the first floor with a decent balcony overlooking the garden. As in any four star hotels, there is air conditioning and flat screen TV's.

Wi-fi is limited at the hotel as it is only available in the reception area and sometimes in the cafe though I understand they are working to resolve this for guests.

Breakfast out on the terrace, beside one of the pools, is very good. Lots of fresh fruit, fresh eggs, cheese, tomatoes, different breads and cakes, and of course fresh coffee made to order. They have a little cafe/bar opened throughout the day and then a restaurant in the evening, where you need to let them know by 6:00pm whether you are dining with them. They show the daily menu in the reception area.

You really need a car if staying at this hotel as otherwise it would be difficult to go places. It's about a 10 minute drive to Pula which is a beautiful little town with a few restaurants and shops. Also close to the Nora sites, and then about 15 minutes to the stunning beaches of Chia where you can spot flamingos in the lagoons.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor are preferable as you have no one overhead so less noise.

Can't believe the bad review I just read on this place. Honestly, some people just look for the negatives. I brought my wife here for our anniversary last September and thought it was superb and don't regret a thing. The rooms were spotless, the staff really friendly and the food very good. The reason it's expensive at the moment is the weakness of the pound to the euro, not because the hotel is excessively costly. And maybe the gentleman needs to use his eyes and look for the lavatories a bit harder; they're next to the restaurant. :)

The infinity pool is one of the nicest I've ever been in and I think it's won awards for the unbroken view of the sky and its design. We loved the lunch here, particularly the fresh fish. We spent our afternoons by the pool and our mornings exploring the turquoise bays around the area. We've booked for next year already. Pula is a simple unpretentious town, nothing fancy but it's authentic Sardinia.

Last point to make defence of this beautiful old hotel is that in ten days there we saw no rats!!

Stayed there with Titan Travel for two nights. An excellent hotel. Very good service. Wonderful food. The pool was too cold to try out but must be great in the summer. A b it away from anywhere else but this didn't really matter.

We went to Costa Del Fiori during October half term for a week. It is a really nice hotel with lovely beautiful wooded gardens. 2 nice (albeit slightly cold for my taste!) sea water pool. The family room is one of the best we have satyed in as a family of 4.

The service and attention of the staff were fantastic....... except for the man who was in charge of the pool. I know all hotel pools have rules about diving in the pool to protect themselves but in my opinion he was just a bit too finicky. I got properly told off for letting my kids jumping in feet first from the side.

They were right at the end of the season and we were the penultimate set of guest to leave before they close for 6 months. So strangely we found it a little too quiet around Pula. It did mean we had a guide to ourselves at the ruins at Nora.

You do need a car to get around IMO. Pula is about 10 mins away in the car. The glorious beaches of Chia is 15 minutes away.

Room Tip: family room was excellent. book earyl. they don't have too many

Having enjoyed so much a visit in May, we decided to come back later in the year. We were not disappointed, everything was as good as before, if not better, from the first welcome to our last meal.

Our room, the food, the grounds, the pools and the whole hotel team all excellent. The welcoming smiles, if possible, even better! We had superb weather and so were able to enjoy all our meals outside.

Nothing was too much effort and three trips we wanted to do were easily sorted out for us.

We will be visiting Costa dei Fiori again next year.
