We stayed just the one night at Hotel Sirolo, but I really enjoyed it. We'd been on a walking trip round Mount Sibillini, and ended with a couple of days in Sirolo. After staying in somewhat dark and dingy hotel rooms on our walk, the light and comfortable room at the Hotel Sirolo - though expensive at 110 euros - was very welcome indeed.
It had a large double bed, a large bathroom with shower cubicle, and a small balcony with wonderful views over the countryside at the back of the hotel. Slightly to one side was a view of the sea. We sat on the sunny balcony for evening drinks (from the minibar at very reasonable prices) and really enjoyed ourselves.
The hotel's location is great ... five minutes' walk from the centre of town. It also has an outdoor swimming pool and terrace, but it was a little cold for us to venture in.
I thought the breakfast was okay by Italian standards, as there was fruit and yoghourt. It would have been nice to have had a decent muesli, but no, only the usual cornflakes and stuff. Lots of croissants and cake, which are not for me in the morning. My partner said the coffee, however, was awful - our Italian wasn't up to asking for a fresh brew. The waitress was offering capuccinos etc, but if you wanted a plain Americano, the only choice was the very stewed offering in the pot.
