If you fancy staying in a medieval town, then this is an excellent place to stay. We spent 5 nights here as part of a tour of Italy. Simona and her husband were very friendly and helpful. They took our luggage to the house as we were unable to park our car in the old town. There is free parking in the town but this is often occupied. However, we soon got into the habit of leaving our car in the nearby castle square car park which always had free places and is free overnight.
The house is immaculate and beautifully restored - it was a real treat to stay there. It is in a very quiet, peaceful location yet close to the town and a 10 minute walk from the railway station.
The Odescalchi castle is well worth a visit and we also enjoyed visiting the towns by the lake as well as the Etruscan museum and necropolis at Cerveteri. We also play golf and were delighted to find a challenging course within easy reach. Rome is easily accessible by car or train and it was good to return to our tranquil home after a day of hectic sightseeing. Our short stay here certainly lived up to expectations.
