What do you do on a cold winter day? You go to the zoo! LOTS of indoor exhibits. A + no lines, no waiting & you could see all the exhibits up close. The elephants were a treat, as well as the aquarium.
Several buildings had educational staff that were very informative. It is a world class zoo.
The down side is thst it's pricey. $15.95 for adults.
But a great way to enjoy a few hours.

This is the best zoo I've been to. There's so much to see, I can't imagine having to do it all in one day. The Lied Jungle is probably the coolest way to show animals that I've ever seen. I love that the animals (in most exhibits) have space to roam at least a little bit. It can make them harder to find sometimes, like the cheetahs that hide on the hillside, but I think it's worth it. The aquarium is a pretty good size, too. Lots of fish, and a walk-through shark and turtle tank. Every once in a while the octopus is moving around.

All the animals were active. No one in your way. 3 hrs of indoor viewing. Kids had a blast. I enjoyed tigers coming to the windows. Go in the winter much nicer

A world recognized zoo with something for everyone. There are climbing and water areas for the kids and dozens of animal areas to explore. The penguins are my personal favorite, but how can you argue with the lush Lied jungle or the arid desert. Or the creepy bat caves. Or the polar bears. Or, ...I hope you get the point.
Can't see it all in one day, or say enough good things here.
Get there early as parking fills up fast. If you only have time to see one attraction in Omaha, this is the one not to miss.

Beautiful zoo that just gets better & better every year. My favorite is the rainforest. The aquarium has the most beautiful sea life I have ever seen.
