Marseillian is a small village and port with a cluster of restaurants and bars. This apartment is 5 minutes walk from the port and town centre. Its facilities are above the norm that you would expect - its glory is the wrap around balcony with views of the sea and village. You can sit there on the swinging seat all day in the sun. There is a brilliant market on Tuesday - just sit in the Le Marine bar and watch all the activity. Extremely good set menus at O Soleil restaurant in the port. You can rent a bike and ride to Cap d'Agde. A trip out to Sete is also a must. But above all relax in great comfort. Hilary and Gavin will always advise if asked and they are the most considerate of hosts.
A wonderful dual aspect open plan apartment. Excellent facilities and a short walk away from the town. Views over the Etang, a lovely way to relax on the balcony and enjoy the local produce.
When reviewing accommodation, it might seem blasé to simply rate each category at ten out of ten as we have here, but this location warrants it by its proximity to the town and the fact that no thought has been missed when equipping the modern, airy and spacious apartment, including shampoo, washing machine tablets, coffee etc.
The south and west aspects of the wraparound balcony, the views of the Etang de Thau lagoon and the town, plus the convenience of a walk of only five minutes to the quaint port justifies our praise.
The Communication with the owner was very good, both English and French spoken. She collected us from a nearby town where we'd been staying previously and offered to take us to the airport on the day of our departure. It was a first class service, which we can highly recommend.
This has been our home for seven weeks, and it will be missed, we hope to return one day.
A luxury 2nd (top) floor apartment in a small development just a few minutes level walk from the port of Marseillan, with its wide choice of restaurants, and a little further to the village centre, where there are several more. The apartment is light, airy and spacious and comes fully equipped. There is secure, allocated parking and excellent wifi. The large wrap-around balcony gets the sun all day and is great for breakfast or an evening glass of wine, while reflecting on another magical day in this special part of France.
Marseillan itself is a lovely village with something always going on - water jousting, concerts, festivals, wine tasting, as well as the weekly markets but there are also some wonderful towns and villages to explore within easy reach.
Hilary is a delight to deal with and lives nearby. We have been visiting Marseillan for many years but this is our favourite place to stay out of the many we have tried - book it, you won't be disappointed!
