The host was great. It was restful to live on the water. The smell of diesel was very overwhelming and the furnishing were shabby. There was also a Chinese restaurant with some wedding bands on the weekend. So if you stay up top on deck and enjoy Union Lake you will be good.
Too many downsides for us to repeat.
Plenty of room for our party of three adults for a week.
We spent a great deal of time in the lounge area as it was so attractive and peaceful. If we had been trapped in a hotel with limited views, we would have felt it necessary to be out and about constantly. Living on this boat was ideal. Lots to look at from the comfort of the sitting area with windows on all sides complete with a real-flame electric fireplace (it was May and chilly). Convenient to Trader Joe's and restaurants in Queen Anne as well as to the ferries and sights downtown. The galley was plenty large enough for preparing meals; the refrigerator was unexpectedly commodious. The barbecue grill on the deck was a bonus. All and all it was a successful and handsome arrangement.
The owner couldn't have been more accommodating. The best of hosts.
Will recommend and return!
P.S. Two of us are in our "golden years" and had no problem at all with the short ladder to board the boat.
