Thank you for choosing to stay at the Max. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of downtown Seattle. I am glad to hear the staff was great, they truly are an amazing team. Come back and visit us again when your plans bring you back to Seattle.
Perfect location, clean rooms and friendly staff!!
Comfortable beds and good variety of cable TV channels
I was on a meeting so I had my breakfast every day at the meeting venue because the hotel doesn't offer free breakfast
If you are on a business trip and you want a zero balance lodging folio don't book using priceline! book by contacting the hotel directly
Wow, thanks for the great review. I was elated to read how friendly the staff was along with our great location and clean rooms. The Max is proud to have a James Beard Award-winning chef Jason Wilson lead Miller's Guild restaurant offering wood fired craft cooking and cocktails. Come back and visit us soon.
We chose Hotel Max for its convenient location. It’s an easy walk to Pike Place, the Seattle Art Museum, and the Chihuly Glass and Gardens. Lots of good restaurant options are nearby as well. We initially made reservations at the Westin down the block but decided to switch to Hotel Max to save a couple hundred bucks since we knew we would spend most of each day outside. Pluses for the hotel: clean rooms, easy check-in, interesting art in the lobby, hallway and room, and newer furnishings. Minuses: the rooms are small. Really small. They lack some of the amenities that are standard in most hotels: no dresser save for a drawer at the bottom of each night table; no light in the shower stall; exceptionally dim lighting in the bathroom; no magnifying mirror (though the lighting is so dim you can’t really see what you’re doing anyway); no light inside the door; a narrow shower stall that doesn’t allow you to move much; no chair except for a desk chair.
The bathroom sink must not have a j-trap because the bathroom had an odor of sewer gas. We dealt with that by keeping the drain plug closed when possible. The bathroom is so small that a larger person would have some trouble moving around in it.
Don’t bring luggage that is bigger than a carry-on because the elevators are like the rooms : really small.
Another positive: the front desk staff is friendly without being saccharine in their approach — a nice change.
And— housekeeping was timely and thorough with their work.
For its location and price, we would probably stay here again but would definitely look at other places for specials/deals first.
Hi TravelKate M,
Thank you so much for taking the time to review the Max from your recent stay with us. I was thrilled to read the positive comments from your stay. Being a historical property built in the 1920's our rooms are on the cozy side. As you mentioned, Seattle has so much to see you end up spending most of your time exploring the city.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Max.
Small rooms. Lot of noise from Streets. Nothing Special. Small tiny elevators. Have stay 2 times earlier at Hotel but this time a no-no. Seems like Hotel owners have forgotten there is a lot of other Hotels to get for $ 289.84 per night !!!
Thank you for staying at the Max! Our guest rooms are cozy while the Max highlights local art and music. Room rates are climbing as Seattle enters its peak season. We hope to see you back at the Max!
Overall a good hotel, the front desk is amazing and super helpful. There are great games to play in the lobby and free craft beer from 5:30 to 6:30 in the afternoon. The rooms are nice, beds are a bit hard, but the pillows are fantastic. We stayed in room 801, right beside the elevator, but had no problems with noise. We couldn't connect to Wifi in our room for some reason, but that was our only problem. Overall, a good hotel, and I would recommend it to others.
We are stoked to hear you enjoyed the Max and all the fun games! Our nightly craft beer hour is super fun and we love pouring local brews! We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel soon.
This place was outstanding. Clean, crisp, futuristic/Modern. Loved this place. I loved the room and bathroom separated by glass with an auto blind system. I loved the water coming from the ceiling into the tub. I will definitely be going back.
Wow, thank you for the 5 star review! We are thrilled you were able to experience the Hotel Max. Come back and visit us again soon.
