A place to go when in the city. We liked the guys on the horses, even though it cannot compete with bigger events in other cities we have seen. Anyhow it had a nice local touch, the kids loved it and were all taken in by the bad guys. All in all a bit pricy with 42,80 € for a family of 5.

The show was great fun from start to finish. The riding display showed real skill and the story-line was one that all ages can enjoy. We loved it. Good value.

La Legende des Chevaliers was an equestrian exhibition with a medieval theme (Comte de Champagne was the good guy) recreated just outside the bastion walls. The riding demonstration included hooking rings, slicing an apple with a sword, and putting hatchets in a target all at full gallop. One rider stood atop two white horses at full gallop; many riders did amazing saddle tricks, hanging off the horse or upside down or dragging a foot, again all at full gallop. There was a jester, people juggled and did “hula hoops”; they herded geese and goats and a dromedary and even a large white ox. There was an attack by a group of marauding “horribles” with deformed animal masks and costumes festooned with odd projections in their leather tunics. A furious fight ensued, with swordplay and jousting and axe battles—a real extravaganza. Coupled with the thrilling bird show Les Aigles des Remparts you get to see two great performances in a single visit.

For a wonderful family friendly great time go check out the La Legende des Chevaliers in the medieval historical town of Provins, France! This trip was only 1 1/2 hour train ride from Paris and was a great day trip for our family. There is plenty to do in Provins, but the highlight was the La Legende des Chevaliers show. It is similar to Medieval Times in the United States, but it is outdoors. However not to worry, there is covered seating right next to the arena where the show takes place. The show is about 1 hour in duration and is very reasonably priced. The show includes beautiful horses, knights, and damsels in distress. This show was very well done and I give it two thumbs up!

The 'Legend of the Knights' is a show that demonstrates many medieval elements - horsemanship (tricks, lance charges), costuming, weapons etc. The story (in French) is based around the medieval township, and an 'enemy' invading to threaten a 'Dame' and 'Knight-Prince'. Elements of the show were entertaining and comedic, for me the show was aimed more for the kids audience, but overall still pretty good.
