Fabulous in ever aspect. Sunsets, views and relaxation. Best part of the trip to the Big Island. Great location for access to key activities.
This was probably one of the best (if not the best weeks) of mine and my husband’s lives. Kona Moana Hale is absolutely incredible. The view is insane - waking up every morning to the ocean and the sound of the waves hitting the rocks below the lanai was a dream. The house itself is so comfortable and had everything we needed.. Ron and Pam really know how to make their guests feel at home! We arrived to a beautiful fruit basket (filled with one the best mangos and pineapples we have EVER had) and the sound of classic Hawaiian music. Throughout the week, we found that the house has everything we could need for a perfect Kona vacation: beach chairs and an umbrella, snorkeling gear, towels, BBQ utensils (and a grill), and so much more. This home is truly a beautiful gift and we couldn’t recommend it more! It is situatated close to some great restaurants (Holuakoa Garden and Cafe, Basik Cafe, and Daylight Minds Coffee being a few of our favorites), and within walking distance to a beautiful beach with great snorkeling. We wish we could stay here forever! Thanks Ron + Palm for giving us a week we’ll never forget!
Kona Moana Hale was amazing! It is located mere feet from the ocean, with private access to the water, and is only a 1/4 mile from one of the top-rated snorkeling beaches on the Big Island. The house itself is convenient, extremely clean, and well-appointed with everything you need for your stay, including new appliances and furniture, and indoor/outdoor speakers with bluetooth capability. It's a short drive to downtown Kailua-Kona, which boasts restaurants, shops, and art galleries, and about 30 minutes to the airport. Get ready to see someone of the best sunsets in the world!
Kona Moana Hale (translated means leeward side southwest-facing ocean house) is truly a place to experience on The Big Island. There is a real magic about this place. Once you arrive you know there is something different and special—a place which captures the island spirit, attitude, and the majestic beauty of Hawaii. Located in south Kailua-Kona, there is great access to everything in Kona within 10 minutes. However, there is a sense of a “home” feel and privacy right on the water at this place. Spending time overlooking the crashing waves, watching surfers &
whales, and a 180-degree view of the ocean and setting sun, one will find themself losing all sense of time here (enjoying a long sunset fading into the ocean should be on anyone’s Hawaii bucket list). This scenery was so amazing, that my wife and I decided to spend most—if not all—our evenings and dinners on the patio/deck. The residence is fully loaded and excellent quality with everything right where you need or expect it. Ron and Pam are awesome and did an amazing job of creating such a special place for a great Hawaiian vacation experience. Thank you!!! …Highly recommend you take an opportunity to experience some time at KMH. Your vacationing soul will not be disappointed!
This house is something so wonderful that it has to be experienced for yourself. We went for a vacation and were completely overwhelmed at how beautiful and peaceful this home is. Whether you are watching the sunset or drinking coffee in the morning while you listen to the waves, the lanai is the perfect place to soak in the beauty of the island. On a practical note, they have everything you could need in this house: plenty of kitchen gadgets, a grill outside, amazing appliances so that you can cook while you are there, tons of seating, an amazing bed (crazy comfortable), all the little details (lots of toiletries provided as well as all kinds of water gear), tons of towels, washer and dryer, etc. They think of everything. The location can not be beaten as you are pretty central to everything. Walking distance from a fantastic beach, and lots of beautiful beaches along the way into town when you need groceries or want to go out for a drive or restaurant. This home is a must if you are staying on the big island. There's a little bit of magic in the air there :) Mahalo!
