We were late having driven from Casper that morning and spent a couple of hours at Wind Cave NP, but they welcomed us anyway. I'm not sure what we had to eat, but it was all good with friendly service. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

Buffalo stew and baking powder biscuits were exactly the ticket. The bison burger was also a win!! This restaurant serves nothing fried – just good food. It’s not pub-grub. It’s just good food!! This will be a stand-by every time we visit Custer!! Staff was awesome, and prices were fair. It’s not gourmet food – it’s just good food – have I said that before?

We went here later in the evening (just before they closed) and all had a pretty good meal. I thought there were decent choices on the menu and the food was pretty tasty.
Friendly staff with good food makes for a nice ending of a great day!

We only had a 6 minute drive from our B&B to the Sage Creek Grille. There are several choices in Custer for dinner. We picked a good one! Parking is not an issue since there is ample street parking close to the restaurant. We enjoyed angel hair pasta with artichoke hearts and sundried tomatoes; and beef bolognese with fettuccine. Both entrees were delicious. My choice of craft beer from a large selection of craft beers on tap was excellent. Although crowded, the wait for a table went quickly thanks to the great personality of the hostess. The service was excellent and the noise level was acceptable.

We both got the salmon sandwich which was very good. Lots of greens and potatoes so it felt more like an entrée. The sandwich is open face. We also had vanilla and caramel ice cream and it was great, only $2. Get there early as fills up fast.
