We stayed in a studio and it was clean and well maintained. The Kitchenet was well equipped and convenient. There are many restaurants nearby and the trolley right outside the hotel entrance.the grounds were well maintained and the courtyard was very nice and relaxing. There is also a sky view area on the roof that offers some great views. Thank you avenue plaza and Wyndham for a pleasant stay
Situated just at the edge of the garden district, and just five blocks away from the Blind Pelican - where you can get a dozen raw oysters for $3 from 4pm-8pm - the Avenue Plaza is really a great stay for the price. The staff are very helpful and not at all pushy about the resort. We decided to park on the street to save from spending the $21 a day. We had no problem finding a space on Josephine while we were there, and really, with the trolley car line right out front, we didn't even get back in the car until it was time to go. A Jazzy Pass is a must have - it allows unlimited rides on the trolleys and buses and made our stay all the more enjoyable. The rooms were nice - walk in shower, make up area, king size bed, flat screen tv and small kitchenette - and the roof top deck is really nice (wish someone had told us about that at check-in - luckily another couple we met on the elevator clued us in). Overall, a great stay - we will definitely be back.
