Very nice room all considering (unit had sliding bamboo doors and large, bright windows). The customer service was FANTASTIC. A+. The unit I received was not the one I was expecting. The customer service rep fixed it within minutes! The view from my unit was incredible. We had a clear view of Bourbon Street, which was cool. The concierge was very helpful and welcoming. Finally, the valet service was wonderful. The guys really hustled to cut down on wait times. I will stay Stay Alfred again...no question.
I gave a 4 star only because of a few very minor upkeep items. Repair/replace the tub drain stopper. We had to prop it open to allow water to drain when showering. Some of the floor boards in front of the washer closet were warped. The faucet in both the kitchen and the bathroom are wobbly. The cleaning crew will need to take care to sweep and mop underneath the dresser, sofa and kitchen table where dust and hair can accumulate. Also, there was something sticky on the floor between the table and the sofa. The deck boards holding the bed up was odd. Maybe consider hiding them.
Downtown, only a 5 min foot walk away from the French Quater this is a very comfortable place to stay for a city visit.
The location was perfect. Within walking distance to everything including the WWII Museum. We took advantage of requesting the parking and it was so convenient - directly across the street from the hotel. The coffee maker in the unit did not work, however, there is an amazing coffee shop/crepe/sandwich shop located on the first floor of the Maritime. We told the concierge as we were checking out about the coffee maker and he said he would let the housekeepers know. As we were heading out, I noticed a housekeeper carrying a new coffee maker up. Very private, very quiet and very safe/secure. The unit was clean and well appointed.
The apartment is very nicely appointed. Loved the open windows which allowed us to see down into the city. The apartment was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. (Towels, blankets, plates, etc) Building concierge was excellent and very attentive. However if you drive a large SUV don't pay for parking because the garage will not accept the vehicle.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It was only about two blocks from bourbon st which was great for me. The doormen were friendly and very helpful. When I come back to Nola I will definitely be staying here. The view was also amazing!!!!
