Description: In the late 1800's, Royal Street was home to a famous "curio" shop, a place where curiosities from all over the world could be had for a dollar or two. Today, the shop is no more, but the feeling of excitement and wonder still exists on Royal Street today. And so in the heart of the most premier art district in New Orleans, we're bringing back the curiosity - reintroducing New Orleans to a circus

We stopped in for drinks during some down time before a tour. The bartender was incredibly friendly and helpful. She spent a lot of time explaining how to make her signature cocktails. We shared a few appetizers which were delicious. Would definitely go back for dinner.

First, for our group, two had a short time window before heading to airport. We let our server, Michael, know our dilemma, and it worked. We quickly ordered the alligator app and a shrimp PoBoy, and Michael got the order in quickly and served. The rest of us ordered bottomless Bloody Marys (it was a Sunday), and they are truly bottomless since we never found the bottom until we finished them in our to-go cups in the Quarter.

For the relaxed people, we had great food -- Taste of New Orleans, Shrimp & Grits, and Eggs Pontchartrain. All of these were great. The Taste gives you a nice tasting of classic Cajun dishes. The red beans and rice out classes anything else we have had in the Quarter. The Shrimp & Grits (technically low country SC) were best we have every had. The grits were smooth and creamy, shrimp perfectly cooked, and the Andouille sausage was perfect. Now, we get to the Eggs Pontchartrain with blackened shrimp, which is simply the best brunch dish ever. Everything is perfectly cooked and prepped. Eggs perfect, crab cake perfect, shrimp perfect, biscuit and sauce perfect (you get the idea). Eggs Benedict is never come close.

Great friendly service, fun atmosphere. Get the jambalaya and/or the red beans and rice....and don’t forget to add the blackened chicken. Was my favorite dinner during our stay.

We went to Curio for an hour or two for a couple drinks before dinner. The vibe/decor is great and the drinks were made well. Our servers were great for conversation and very friendly. When we come back to New Orleans we'll stop by for dinner!
