Owner description: Ride with us at Confederacy of Cruisers, New Orleans original and oldest bike tour company. Going on 10 years of great tours and great customers keeping us feeling like the luckiest folks in New Orleans every day when we come to work. The tour that started them all and our others, the Culinary, the History of Drinking and our combined Pedal to Paddle with our friends at Kayakityat. New Orleans is so more than the French Quarter and we want to show you what most visitors don't get to experience. The heart of our city is seen through its other historic neighborhoods on the Creole side of Town, the beautiful Faubourg Marignyand Bywater; and there is no better way to explore them than with New Orleans' original bicycle tour company. Join us as we take you for a bike ride around the old streets and tell you the stories of the New Orleans that most tourists miss. The ride is relaxed, with plenty of time to ask questions, and a stop along the way at a neighborhood bar where you can find out all you want about local life while drinking a delicious Bloody Mary, if you like (water or nothing are also fine choices). For those who want to delve a little deeper, we offer a tasty Neighborhood Culinary Tour and a Historic Drinking Tour (where you get to indulge as you learn), all travelling through our our city like the locals do, on easy to ride classic cruiser bicycles. One speed, slow.
Useful Information: Activities for older children, Lockers / storage

We had a great time cruising around the city and stopping for food, views, and New Orleans history. Would definitely recommend!

The tour guide, Nick Fox, was excellent. Passionate about the recovery of the Lower 9th, a resident of that community for the last 7 years, and also funny as hell. The tour was cleared with the neighborhood association(s) before it launched, so it's not a Disaster Tourism deal at all. Quite the contrary. It includes a visit to a local grocery store - started and run by a resident who had other plans but saw after Katrina that there were NO local grocery stores so decided to create one. This fellow was super upbeat and welcoming. Also a visit to a local museum about the Mardi Gras Indians, by a long-time resident of the Lower 9th with a very funny sense of humor.

I took part in both the Lower Ninth Ward and Creole tours. Both were great, but the Lower Ninth was the standout. CoC takes you where most other tours won't and have clearly cultivated mutually respectful relationships with their neighbors. Informative and inspiring.

Took the Creole Tour with Jeff. He is the founder and is passionate about New Orleans and it's amazing multicultural history. He learned to know every person on the tour so he could make perfect recommendations from who's playing the the music each of us was interested in and where to the dress code and maître d' name (if it might be helpful). There couldn't be a better way to start a visit to New Orleans.

The Confederacy of Cruisers 9th Ward Rebirth tour was the highlight of my time in New Orleans. Filled with interesting facts, history and a glimpse at the REAL New Orleans, this tour shows the lower 9th with respect and empathy.
