The French quarter is perfect for walking around and trying all of the different places. We made sure to eat and drink at a different place everyday and they all had their specialties. I would prefer to stay just outside and walk here but it is convenient if your hotel is in the French quarter as well.

The French Quarter has nearly everything--character, great food (but a little on the spicy side for me), amazing characters up and down every street, interesting museums out of the ordinary, unique "French" Market, great music almost everywhere (but a bit limited yet, due to pandemic recovery), antique shopping, great local craft shop near the French market, great walking tours, river cruises (with or w/o food); boutique hotels are abundant and most ooze with New Orleans decor and flair. This is my third visit, and every time offers something new and interesting. We'll be back again!

Restaurants, shops and plenty of bars to chose from. Lots of history and places to visit. You can spend hours walking around and visiting places. A must visit if in New Orleans.

I have stayed no less than a dozen times at The Place D'Armes on St Anne Street, right in the center of Jackson Square. There are so many places to walk to it makes a car unneccessary.

Love the French quarter and shops, unfortunately city shuts down at 10 due to covid, but doesn't take away from the charm of this area. Recommend stay off Burbon street it smells during warm months
