I stayed at this villa for 4 days and I enjoyed every second of it. The pools and gardens are beautiful and there is no need to go anywhere else if you don't feel like going out.
The manager, Mr. Yves, was there to welcome us and gave us a tour of the whole place. He speaks Spanish so it was big plus for us.
The breakfast is good enough to start your day, so no complains. The food for lunch or dinner is not the best. I am sure they listen to our feedback and they will improve it.
The room was so big that I was waoooooo. I enjoyed taking a shower in a semi open area. Hard to explain the uniqueness of this place.
If you want to spend a great vacation in Bali, stay at Villa Mathis. You will not regret it :

Our stay in this property was more than we'd hoped for and great value. The grounds felt like a maze to explore on arrival. The design meant we infrequently were disturbed by other guests. The staff were friendly and Bruno was attentive and on top of everything. The breakfast was a bit simple and limited and not really to our taste, but the staff went out of their way to accommodate us (we arrived too early one morning having misheard the breakfast times!) Only a few minutes drive from the heart of the tourist areas, we still felt quite far away from the hustle and bustle.

We arrived at Villa Mathis with a group composed of 18 persons to celebrate our friend birthday. After a long flight from Malaysia we were so happy to quit our working life and discover this sublime place ideally located in Umalas.
The gardens are hudge with nice pool everywhere. Lovely rooms and nice decoration with antique furnitures. We have had a wonderful diner at the restaurant, enjoying great massage at the private spa. Everything was just perfect and the team so nice. We definitly recommand this place! Thanks you Villa Mathis.
