Enjoyed our stay here. Had a lovely time staying here for 1 night. I rarely write reviews, however, this one was necessary!!! Myself,my wife and our 20 months old baby vacationed here for my birthday from 27 April to 28 April. This was our one of the best vacation. From the moment we stepped foot on the heritage home grounds to the day we left the service was Top Notch. The staff especially Mr. George was very friendly helpful and professional!!! The staff is delightful and made us feel at home. The breakfast was adequate. They catered to our every need!!! The rooms were beautiful and very spacious. I have to recommend this hotel for their friendliness and cleanliness. More than happy to re-visit.
We stayed on and off for 2 months, as the family and staff were so helpful to us, and the rooms were so beautiful. The old heritage doors and locks were a constant pleasure, and sipping a drink on the daybed at the bottom of the garden while the birds flocked on the fields, and the parrots came home to roost was magical.
Had a lovely time staying here for a few nights. Rooms are nice with amenities, lovely, very friendly and helpful family and an ideal location just a short rickshaw ride away from main town area. More than happy to re-visit.
Nice place, very original and charmful heritage building. Good support upon arrival.
A bit far from city center (rickshaw drivers are not very keen on driving you there, expect tough discussions). Many mosquitos even during dry season due to backwaters humidity.
When we decided to drive to Alleppy for Christmas break from Bangalore , none of us had time to search for good place and spend time in some research which is generally my favorite work, however I went ahead and booked the place since I just loved the pictures , the drive to Alleppy was frustrating , tiring and extremely exhausting considering it was Christmas weekend and the whole kerala was heading back home ., we reached the place entirely exhausted and were shown the room quite immediately without even any amount of formality or checking , the rooms are fairly small and there is no direct sunlight into the room , however the place was a bliss in itself with the whole building carved in wood , , it looks exactly as shown in images . the mornings are stunning since the backyard has paddy fields running till where your eyes can go , they have small canopies where you can just spend the mornings with your book and chai and you re home ! Alex was a marvelous caretaker who dint say no to anything we asked and george is an extremely modest owner of the place . we just had breakfast at the place which was very simple one dish affair and the chai /coffee were actually not good , however the wine compensated for it and so was the lovely cake . The place is well located very close to Ramada resort and the drive to all nearby places was easy.
