We selected this rental because of the location being so convienent to our plans and also because it looked like a lovely apartment. It more than satisfied us ! Super clean and quiet, easy access, everything you could want to find in a neighborhood. Evelyn was great, super friendly and more than helpful to us, even letting us stay later to wait for an evening flight home. Also, a huge help was her referral of a most reliable car service for our transport to and from the airport. We would certainly stay there again !
This apartment is awesome! Clean, in a great neighborhood, very close to shopping, restaurants, and a short walk to the subway station. We used this as our bouncing off point to travel all over Brooklyn and Manhattan. It was also comfortable to just hang out in in the mornings when it was just too cold outside. (When we traveled to NY from California in mid March to visit friends, we weren't expecting snow in NY but the first full day we were there NY delivered a beautiful snow storm.) There is a large bedroom, a small bedroom off the kitchen (which was well stocked when we arrived) and a nice sized bathroom with a full tub and shower (we traveled with our the 10 month old daughter so it was nice to have a bath to bathe her in). Kid friendly after I put away some knick knacks into the living area closet. Evelyn even had a playpen ready for us, and a high chair. Next time we come to Brooklyn we will definitely stay here again! Evelyn even pointed us in the right direction with a car service that we used to and from the airport (great rates and car seats!) and for most of the car trips we took in the evenings when it got too cold to walk. I really can't find any negatives about the place, it was upstairs, so if you don't like to walk the steps, I saw that there was also a unit downstairs that you can ask her about. Evelyn answered all my questions prior to our stay and we got in really early in the morning so she left us a key so we could enter and hop in bed after we arrived on our red eye flight. Very happy with these accommodations!

Travelled to NY for a vacation with my girlfriend and my parents. Priced up the cost of two hotel rooms and it was simply astronomical. I then decided to browse flip key, easily the best decision I have made as the property was perfect for what we required while also being 1/4 the cost. We were made to feel right at home with helpful tips on local things and also breakfast essentials which made life all that more pleasant after a long trip.
The only warnin I would share is while the location is as convenient as any while also being outside of the hustle and bustle of the centre o manhattan, do not under estimate the amount of walking required in NY. Me and my girlfriend walked over 46 miles in our 4 day vacation.
I would however saying that highly recommend this rental and definitely come back again!
Nice apartment. One very large bedroom, one small bedroom with futon sofa in central room. Loads of breakfast food and bathroom products. Apartment very clean. Narrow staircase to upper floor. SIngle bathroom. A ten minute walk to nearest subway and then 40 minute trip to central Manhattan. Very nice lady owner.
My extended family of 4 and I stayed in this Park Slope apartment in Dec 2014. We selected it because we had learned from a Brooklyn friend that the neighborhood would be a perfect launching pad to get into Manhattan each day for our tourist activities. We were delighted with what we experienced. The apartment fit us quite well, and getting into Manhattan each day was a breeze on the subway -- a simple little walk away.
Our host, Evelyn, was accommodating and highly trustworthy as well as congenial, and I highly recommend her. Her apartment is right below the rental apartment. This was an added comfort for us.
The only item to think ahead about is whether or not you need a second double bed. If you do need a second double bed, it will be in the living room. The "think ahead" part of this is that to get from the master bedroom to the kitchen or bathroom you have to walk through the living room, which -- if it is dually serving as a bedroom, may impinge upon privacy or quiet time there, like in the middle of the night if you need the bathroom or want to grab a bite to eat.
That said, if you're a cozy group, like ours was, it all works out fine. Wasn't an issue for us.
Bottom line: our trip was the best. We super enjoyed our stay in the apartment and being in Park Slope. Big thanks to Evelyn - she looked out for us and made it clear in thought, word and deed that she was there for us.
Have fun with this apartment and NYC! We made the leap of faith, not having known much about the area or what to expect with the apartment. We were totally happy with our experience. Again, thanks to Evelyn.
