I booked a room that had a 48 hour cancellation to stay over after my daughter’s engagement. Unfortunately I became ill with covid and called the hotel the day before. A very nice man said they would authorize booking.com to give me a refund so we did not use the room. When I followed up a few days later I was told the employee was wrong and no refund would be given. The manager Diane kept parroting the 48 hour policy without any compassion for illness or that I had to miss my child’s engagement party or that the hotel already told me they would authorize a refund.
I have never encountered such ridiculous treatment. Diane offered me a credit towards another stay but the hotel has a terrible location next to a highway and I can’t see staying there.
My son had a room with a balcony with a view of the highway.
