Fabulous hotel!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 22 Jul 2024
Loved staying at this hotel. Great location! There was a wedding on the last night of our visit and it was pretty loud down in our room. I went to the front desk to see when it would be over and Denisse told me soon and that she was sorry about the noise and gave us vouchers for a free breakfast for my husband and I the next morning at the hotel restaurant. It was delicious! The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and decorated nicely. The hotel felt personal and not cookie cutter. Will absolutely stay there again next time we visit our daughter in NYC.

We checked in VERY late due to flight delays but Vernon took great care of us 😊. Very nice stay the whole time - such friendly staff, super clean and quaint. Breakfast and bar available each day - nice options. Had a great stay and loved the location. Will be back again for sure

Clean and stylish hotel. Decorated with vintage items from the 1900s. Actual drip coffee cup machine in the room with pretty good hotel coffee for hotel standards. Clean and modern bathroom. 10 min walk across the bridge to Metro. Tons of restaurants walking distance. Shout out to Vernon for a speedy checkout. He’s the best.

During our stay last weekend, there were small pieces of broken glass by the desk/chair area in our room. We only noticed this when I sat down in the chair last night and cut the heal of my foot.

When I called the front desk that night, I let them know about the issue and they said the room would be noted for a deep clean.

After the call, we noticed several more pieces of glass on the floor and I called back requesting a new room, unsure of how many more pieces were on the floor. I was told there were no available rooms.

I confirmed the next morning with the front desk that our room would be deep cleaned, but I was disappointed that this issue did not seem more urgent to address and that I could not speak with someone in a supervisory role directly that morning. I was given a card with an email, which I reached out to with this information. I emailed on a Saturday and followed up twice and still have not received a response.

The most surprising thing was that when I went to check out from the room and looked to make sure nothing was left behind, I looked under the bed, only to notice a personal item from a previous occupant. The room had clearly not been “deep cleaned.”

The lack of responsiveness and responsibility for this is highly concerning and unusual and any visitor should be aware of this.

In general, the hotel is beautiful and in a great location. But the literal lack for customer care, especially for the price paid, is exceptional.

Room tip: I will not be staying here again.

The hotel is excellent! In price pint for the rest of NY it’s really great value. What made this place so great was the help I got from Kristina! She was so lovely and accommodating. She helped me when I really needed it. I would definitely stay again

Room tip: Value is shy of perfect because all NY hotels have priced each other into insane price points

Excellent as always! This is my second time staying here and will come back again! Clean, new and the staff is very friendly. Easy to get to from the 7 train and lots to see in the area. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in this area!
