Usually Irish pub are for dinner, but we just landed in Baltimore and we need something good and close to our Hotel. This pub is 4 mins far away from the Marriot and it’s the perfect place to have a very good meal and beer outside with the family. The terrace is completely in the shade, nice environment and enough space between the tables.
We ordered fish and chips (stating to my husband is one of the best he ever had), Shepard’s pie (the small size is not so small!), home made brown bread and chicken fingers from the kids menu. Everything was perfect!

Order the crab cakes (delicious) then follow this beer tasting plan.

1. House brew - Heavy Seas Golden Ale
2. Doggie Style pale ale by Flying Dog
3. Flying Dog IPA
4. Brewer’s Art Resurrection 8% (luckily only 12 oz glass)

In one session the very best of what Baltimore offers in food and beer. And you can still just about walk.

It always good to get to James Joyce. It’s always a pleasure to see Dave when we walk thru the door. Big smile ... and always remembers our drink. The atmosphere is fun, there’s a game on on the TV ... and everyone is so nice.

We miss Shamus, Anka, and Cullen (the big sour puss). But all the new folks seem to be great too ... so the manager should get some credit for his hiring practices.

Good food, not great ... but if you are expecting gourmet Irish cuisine ... have another beer and shot ... and remember where you are. Sit back and enjoy one of the best spots in Baltimore.

Always our first choice for Irish pub in Baltimore. A lovely dinner of Irish nachos, corned beef & cabbage, and steak sandwich made perfect by the relaxing atmosphere.
