The staff were very nice, very hard working and willing to do anything to make us feel at home. The suites and the grounds are beautiful and the main building is civil war era construction. The Inn is located right on the square in the center of town and very close to everything you want to see here. I couldn't be more pleased with our stay here. And the cost is very reasonable.

We were going to stay 3 nights, but extended by one more day. We did not want to leave. That should give you a hint of how good it was.

We are three people in our 60's, each with our own requirements for comfort and privacy. My wife had never been to Gettysburg; I have been many times, but not for the last 6 years; our close friend said she had been but it was when she was a kid. We had never traveled together before. I definitely wanted a place right downtown. Most of the almost acceptable in-town accommodations available were one bedroom king suites with a sofabed or two queens in one room. Then I stumbled across the Inn at Lincoln Square.

I rented the "Eva Danner Townhouse." Three bedrooms and one bathroom were upstairs. My wife and I had our own room and our guest had hers. There was a spare bedroom too. The beds were extremely comfortable. All of the furniture was tasteful and in good condition.

Downstairs was a living room, again tastefully furnished with two easy chairs, a comfy sofa, a desk and a flat screen. We had lots of great downtime there together in the evenings. This room was off of a good kitchen with all needed appliances, silverware, glasses, cups, plates, etc. Everything was clean, in good shape and pleasant. On the kitchen table was a bowl of fruit and muffins that was replenished each day. Yes, there was good service, we always came back to fresh towels, made beds and the place tidied.

The townhouse itself had a private entrance down a secured corridor into a small nicely landscaped garden. Daffodils were in bloom, bumble bees buzzing and the birds were singing to us. This inn is located directly on Lincoln Square, but we heard no noise from our rooms.

There were only minor issues in that the lighting could have been better, but certainly it was not a show stopper.

We decided that all of the ghosts in Gettysburg are not necessarily those of departed soldiers. Some may have been the souls of contented guests at the Inn that lingered a bit after their bodies returned to the real world.

Thanks to everyone at the Inn for giving us a perfect getaway!

This is a great place to stay. The location is perfect as it is right in the best area for walking around to sight see. Handy as our room had a fridge, stove, microwave, washer and dryer. Great if you are staying for a week and want those conveniences There was fruit and muffins for the morning placed in our room as well as a keurig for coffee. Innkeeper was just a phone call away and extremely friendly

I've been coming to Gettysburgs since 2007, at least 5-10 times a year each year, and no place has been more perfect than this place. Hospitality, cleanliness and very friendly. Love it. Never disappoint
