Plenty to eat here, plenty of park rangers to answer questions, movie to see, museum, the painting was amazing rain or shine.

So glad I came here. Was clean and well maintained. The ticket prices were easy to understand. Glad for all the eating and drink places. The tour busses seemed organised.

This is the perfect place to start a tour of Gettysburg. The book store offers all kinds of souvenirs, clothing, and books. Inside the center you can book tours by licensed battlefield guides. Don't miss the movie offered in the theatre.

After taking the free shuttle from the transit center to this place, my family lined up for tickets. We decided to get a value ticket which got us into everything including a battlefield tour; at first I thought $42 per person was a hefty price tag but was quickly proven very wrong.

We got into the 9:30am movie about the battle of Gettysburg. No photography or video was allowed in this bit, But could see why. It felt way longer than a 25 minute video and was very informative about the battle of Gettysburg. Even learned some parts I didn't before.

After the movie we got to see the Cyclorama. As being from England my family had no idea what this was, but it was a light show on a real oil painting about Gettysburg. This part we were allowed to take pictures and the painting looked so real and was very moving, even witnessed one guest crying because of it.

Then it was time for the best part. The battle ground tour. An extremely informative guided tour around the battle grounds filled with educational stories and facts about soliders and the various monuments dotted around them. It was two whole hours and we had three occasions where we could get off the bus and get to know more about the area. We were even allowed to get off for a bathroom break inbetween too. It was incredible to see the mass scale of the battle field. The tip for our guide was definitely deserved.

The ticket even allowed us into the museum. We were nearly late for our bus back to down town because this museum was so massive. Putting faces to names and seeing faces of actual soliders was incredible.

There was WiFi in this place but it didn't work. There was also two cafes, both really pricey but it was okay.

I will definitely back again in the future. Highly recommend.

Standing on the battlefield where soldiers laid their lives on the line was humbling. If you have ever read about the Battle of Gettysburg, this makes it all come alive. We spent a few hours but could easily have spent several days touring the site. The bus tour is a great start. Our guide was extremely well informed and clearly passionate about conveying the history of the battle and the site. Would love to come back and do an auto tour at our pace.
