Owner description: The Battle of Gettysburg, a turning point in the Civil War, was the Union victory that ended General Robert E. Lee's second and most ambitious invasion of the North. Often referred to as the "High Water Mark of the Rebellion," Gettysburg was the Civil War's bloodiest battle and was also the inspiration for President Abraham Lincoln's immortal "Gettysburg Address."

I was very impressed with the layout of the building. Glad the gift shop was giving free samples of fudge. The tours were easy to understand. The building seemed in good repair. Thanks for providing picnic tables in the parking lot.

The park is very accessible from the visitor's center. The tour that I took with Ranger Troy was excellent. He really brought the final day's battle to life along with the various things leading up to it.

We did the driving tour of the park and battlefields and would highly recommend this to anyone intertested in history (and even those who aren't). So much to see and learn from this place!

This was the second time visiting the Gettysburg Nation Military Park with our Boy Scout Troop.

We had a grueling enjoyable time - there is so much to see that you could really spend a week if you are a history buff. With our group, our one day visit left some
Feeling satisfied, and some wanting a lot more.

Overall though, we took 20 scouts ages 10-16 and none of them were unhappy learning about history for 8+ hours, so I would say that is a 5-Star day.
