Dont know where to start...I happened to be really late to my check in and was given a standard room, the wife was not too happy so i called down to front desk and the gentleman Alfonso answered, i mentioned my situation and he didn't hesitate and made me come back down to the lobby for an upgraded room he personally took the time to find. This is the definition of a great human being with a positive attitude. Thank you Mr Alfonso, we will definitely come back

This was my first and defiantly my last time ever using the Gallivant as a hotel to stay at in New York. Sure the prices are hard to beat however when it comes to questions being answered and customer service this place is a HARD PASS!!!!! Rude customer services and don't even bother calling because they will just transfer you back and fourth from one department to the next until you hang up. Very frustrated.

We had booked to stay here in May 2020, booked flights and hotel pre-covid. When our flights from the UK were cancelled, the hotel, after a bit of negotiation, overed to refund our money. Since then, they haven't paid the money or answered emails.

The hotel seems to be in between remodelation and a stop work.... the scafolding and materials make a promise of a new hotel. We had bad experience with some plastic blowing on the wind that made a spooky sound ALL NIGHT! In general great price/value for a 1 night family visit to the city -2 adults + 3 kids-. Location is great. I would suggest for those looking for Parking to search or contact the hotel before arrival. We found the Parking garage in front of the hotel closed as we got in and wasted time looking for options. Looking forward to a renovated property soon.... elevators really need a change.

Location fantastic, lobby beautiful, service sucked beyond belief. I checked in and immediately was charged more without them telling me why. I didn’t have the WiFi I had to ask for it. Also our A/C took all day to be repaired and when it was it leaked water all night and ruined our clothes. As far as making sure you have a great stay and want to stay within your budget this is not the place to go.
