My room was fine (not as small as some reviewers report) and the front desk folks were pleasant. But the breakfast area was one of the most crowded public places I've ever seen, with tables crammed impossibly close to each other and so many people it was barely possible to get to the food. And even then, there wasn't enough space for all the guests--I ate in an armchair in the lobby. And after trying this my first two mornings I gave up and left the hotel as quickly as possible in the morning.
As with many New York hotels, the elevators were so slow I often ended up taking the stairs. And the printing station in the lobby was broken for almost my entire stay. There are many other decent hotels in this area, so I don't plan to go to this one again.
