The buskers and street vendors raise this uninspiring part of Central Park up a notch from terrible. Some benches where you can relax with a coffee and donut.

Strawberry Fields is the John Lennon Memorial located on the West side of Central Park, great place to reflect on the randomness of life and death. Try to visit early on, it tends to get very crowded and weird later on. Jolly Chriss.

Enjoyed being here and listening to a musician sing and play the guitar. We sat and ate our cookies from a nearby bakery and listened to music and people watched. Loved it!

Strawberry Fields is a 2.5 acre section of Central Park that is right across the street from the Dakota Apts. That's where Beatles musician John Lennon lived with his wife, Yoko Ono, and the site of his 1980 murder. It is designated a quiet zone & is a peaceful place to take a short hike. Don't miss the Imagine mosiac made up of 10,000 Italian tiles. Even though it is in a ritzy neighborhood, our tour guide recommended that visitors not wander around alone, especially at night.

I am sure Beatles and Lennon fans will want to see this minimalist memorial in a lovely part of the park. It was an odd experience for me. It was a gorgeous Sunday afternoon and very crowded with everyone attempting to get that perfect Instagram shot sprawled out next to the word Imagine while a guy played Pink Floyd songs and had his CDs displayed for sale.
