A gem of The Village!!!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 4 weeks agovia mobile
We stayed at The Marlton Sept 3-5th. What a gem of a hotel!!! The history of this building takes center stage and brings an elegance from a bygone era. The rooms are small but well thought out. The breakfast is generous and delicious!!! The location is perfect. We will be back!

The location, staff, vibe and stay was superb. I think I found my new favorite hotel in NYC! The restaurant was delicious and doubled as a perfect place to do a little work. I am looking forward to my next stay. Thank you Marlton - see you very soon.

I adored this hotel, the place is its own thing, with bohemian locals hanging out in the lobby every day. It has an intense laptop/coffee culture. beautiful fireplace.

The restaurant is lovely, and so original, shout out to the wall tiles! Staff are super friendly here. But the bar staff I found to be disinterested and a lot of rules for a small area, eat here, coffee only here, can’t sit there etc. as a woman who travels alone, it can be intimidating in bars and it was packed all evenings I tried to get a drink there and so I retired to my room with it instead.

Rooms are very small, but tastefully appointed, with everything you need. The hotel is in a really wonderful location, steps from Washington Square Park — which was fabulous on Sundays with music and vibes.

I would return happily. (Reception staff were lovely)

Room tip: You can’t drink your coffee at the bar!

Absolutely best boutique hotel I've stayed in. Very old world. We all even slept great which I often have difficulty with when traveling. Request the Almond cake if you are hanging in the lobby or for dessert. Rooms are small, but comfortable and baths are great. I don't know if it is its history or what, but there is a calm that comes over you when you stay here. Stay here!

The rooms are very clean and comfortable, The restaurant sitting areas are also nice, and the restaurant at the the hotel has good food, was also very close to everything.. and a very short walk to the colleges in the area. The hotel rooms are a little on the small side, but they were all you really need. I plan on coming back and staying again in October.

Staff was friendly and the location was great since we spent our time in the village. Good choice of continental breakfast in the morning and a nice low key bar at night. Although the room was small it was very clean and there was a decent size lobby area to drink coffee and plot our day.
